How do I buy from the store?

Buying music, audio and voice-over services from Iain Morland's music store is fast and secure.

To buy from the store, follow these six easy steps:

1Listen to the streaming audio previews embedded on the product pages.

2Choose the music you want by adding it to your cart.

3View the contents of your cart at any time by clicking the item quantity at the top of the website, or use the "View Your Cart" link under "Buy Music". If you have a coupon code, enter it on the cart page.

4Select checkout from your cart, and enter your details to either log in or create a new music store account. We respect your privacy and will not share your personal information, or send you junk mail!

5When you click confirm on the next page, you will be directed to PayPal to make your payment securely. You don't need a PayPal account to buy music from our store. You can use your bank account or credit card.

6You'll receive an automated email containing your unique download ID. Click the link in the email, log in to the store, then download your product. Your download ID remains valid until you use it.

My Account: This is where you can login or logout, as well as go directly to account maintenance or download area to download your audio files.

You can register for a music store account at any time from the My Account button. Registration is free and fast.

You don't have to register to browse our online shop, but you'll need to register in order to buy from us.

If you're not already registered and logged in when you reach the checkout, you'll be asked to set up an account before confirming your order.

What's the difference between personally and professionally licensed products?

Professional products can be broadcast and used commercially, without paying royalties. Personal products are for private listening, for instance on your mp3 player. Click here to read the professional license, or click here to read the personal license.

Can I get a CD?

We're not currently selling physical CDs. Your products will be delivered via digital download, which is faster than mailing a CD. The product description will tell you its file format - mp3 or FLAC, for example. These can be easily burned to CD using software recommended here.

What's the difference between mp3 and FLAC files?

Mp3 files are small, and compressed in a way that removes some non-essential audio; FLAC files are larger, and compressed in a way that does not remove audio. For more information, please click here.

The previews sounded fuzzy and/or short. Will the music I buy sound like that?

No, the commercial files are crystal clear and full-length. The previews are lower quality, and in some cases are only excerpts from the full track.

I downloaded a zip file. Where's my mp3?

Simply double-click the zip file and drag the mp3 into whichever folder you want to store it on your computer. For more information, please click here.

Can I re-download products?

Yes. If your first attempt to download doesn't work for any reason, you can try again within 48 hours from that attempt. If you're still experiencing technical problems, please contact us to arrange another download link.

Which internet browsers does the music store support?

We have tested the store with Firefox 3.6, Internet Explorer 8, Opera 10, Safari 4, and Chrome. However, please note that the store is not currently 100% compatible with Chrome, and that we recommend Firefox. If you experience any problems navigating the store, contact us for assistance.
