Professional license
In short:
Under a professional license, audio bought from us (such as music, sound effects, or voice recording) can be used royalty-free within your creative projects, but not as a creative project in itself. So you don't need to credit Iain Morland when you use it, but you can't credit it to yourself.
In full:
You can use any or all of the audio in any number of your projects without paying further fees ("royalties"), including projects that are broadcast.
Examples of projects in which the audio can be used are:
- the soundtrack to a computer game
- background music on a CD containing speech or sound effects
- the soundtrack to a multimedia presentation (e.g. PowerPoint)
- the soundtrack to an internet animation (e.g. Flash)
- background music in a commercial venue, such as a shop or waiting room
- the soundtrack to a movie, radio, TV or theatre show
- music featured in a podcast
Finally, the audio is licensed to you only. This means you can't distribute it to other people who may use it "as is".
Examples of distribution that are not permitted are:
- making the audio available to clients in a recording studio/production facility
- sharing the audio on a peer-to-peer network, such as LimeWire
- burning the audio "as is" on a CD that you give or sell to someone else
