This beautiful ambient album from Iain Morland blends atmospheric synthesizers with the sounds of piano, cello, harp, Chinese flutes and Peruvian percussion to create sonic textures that are intricate and luminous. Nine ambient tracks mix seamlessly into each other, making Heliography an essential soundtrack for meditation, as well as for general listening. Six tracks are also available as individual mp3s.

Compositions like Cloud Refuge and Sunweaver are spacious, while pieces such as Dream Theory and Vapour and Moss are intense. All the compositions are musically linked, with interconnected melodies and instrumentation, so the album is a satisfying listening experience.
